Nike turned London City Airport's runway into a 10K race track for around 5,000 women on October 17, giving runners a rare chance to take over the runway after dark. The event was part of Nike's After Dark Tour, a global running series designed to bring women together through sport, music and community. While this race took place in London, several U.S. airports have also opened their runways to runners, including Pittsburgh International, Washington Dulles, Miami International and Philadelphia International. The sold-out event featured DJs and live entertainment, with the race held outside the airport's operating hours so flights weren't disrupted. — IJR News
