Anantnag Police Constable Killed; Terrorists Open Fire

In Anantnag, militants opened fire on a police party around 12:30 pm near Lal Chowk during the Amarnath Yatra, killing Head Constable Ashiq Hussain and injuring another officer who later died. Authorities sealed off the area and launched a search operation, with The Resistance Front claiming responsibility, marking the Kashmir Valley’s first militant attack on security forces this year.
