HF Foods to Acquire Searay Foods in Canada

HF Foods Group will acquire Searay Foods, marking its first international expansion by buying a Canadian ethnic and specialty seafood distributor for about CAD$47.9 million (roughly US$35 million), valuing Searay at ~5.0x 2025 EBITDA with closing expected in Q3 2026 and funding via cash and HF Foods stock. The deal strengthens HF Foods’ seafood category and supports its goal to lift consolidated EBITDA margins to 4.5%-5.0%+ within 3-5 years.
