South Korea completes ITER vacuum vessel sector module
The Korea-ITER Fusion Day marks the completion of the last vacuum vessel sector assembled by HD Hyundai and its integration into a sector module, moving toward a 5,000-ton donut-shaped vacuum vessel for the ITER reactor. HD Hyundai has produced four of the nine sectors, underscoring South Korea’s pivotal role and international collaboration in advancing fusion energy.
