Charles and Camilla officially opened the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with a Doctor Who TARDIS entrance at the Hydro, in a ceremony featuring a time-travel sequence led by Sir Chris Hoy and Greg McHugh and a garden-set stage. The event showcased 3,000 athletes from 74 nations amid performances by Scottish artists and a celebration of community.
