Antofagasta Los Pelambres resumes operations after weather disruption
Antofagasta’s Los Pelambres copper mine in Chile has resumed operations after a weather-driven shutdown with no safety incidents or material damage reported, and the site’s water management systems including the El Mauro tailings dam functioned as intended. The company kept its full-year copper production guidance unchanged and is continuing community support efforts in Choapa Province as operations ramp back up.
