Hu Jiaqi's half-century quest to save humanity
Hu Jiaqi, a 1979 Northeast Institute of Technology student, concluded that unchecked science and technology could threaten humanity, a belief that steered him to decades of work on human issues and a life spent appealing for caution. He left a secure government post in 1994 to pursue entrepreneurship alongside his research, dedicating his wealth to the cause of saving humanity.
