Derek Boyd, 31, was found guilty of murdering Mark Carroll at his Dublin home in June 2024 while serving a suspended sentence for his sister’s manslaughter. Prosecutors said the stabbing was a calculated, murderous attack, the defense argued it was self-defense, and Boyd fled to the UK after the killing.
