Kiss-and-Fly Fees Soar Across UK Airports

A RAC-backed review shows more than three-quarters of UK airports have raised or introduced ‘kiss-and-fly’ drop-off charges over the past year, with typical increases around a third and peak fees up to £10 at Gatwick and Stansted. The airports’ moves, contrasted with some UK and international airports that maintain free or cheaper drop-offs, have drawn criticism for fairness and global comparability, and London City notably shifted to one of the most expensive per-minute rates.
