Alaska Air Forecasts Q4 Loss Wider Than Expected on Fuel Costs
Alaska Air Group reported a $147 million third-quarter net loss despite revenue rising 14% to $4.3 billion, as sharply higher fuel costs contributed to a projected $1.8 billion full-year fuel headwind. The airline expects a fourth-quarter adjusted loss of $2 to $2.50 per share, while forecasting 1% to 1.5% capacity growth and low-double-digit unit-revenue growth.
