Red Sox-Yankees Series Reframes Postseason Outlook
The Yankees host the Astros in a series opener with Will Warren slated to start as Aaron Judge progresses from a rib injury, while Houston counters with rookie Ethan Pecko and a lineup trying to rebound; projections for the game lean toward a Yankees win. With the Rays still leading the AL East, New York’s returnees like Bellinger and Judge give them a fighting chance to close the gap, though the schedule remains challenging and odds suggest it will be close.

About American League East
The American League East is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. MLB consists of an East, Central, and West division for each of its two 15-team leagues, the American League (AL) and National League (NL). This division was created before the start of the 1969 season along with the American League West. Before that time, each league consisted of 10 teams without any divisions.
