About Anya Jenkins
Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins is a fictional character who appears in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She is introduced in "The Wish" as Anyanka, a vengeance demon who wreaks havoc by granting the wishes of women wronged by men. After losing her abilities, she becomes trapped in human form and begins a relationship with Xander, a friend of Buffy's. Anya is unfamiliar with social conventions, and her blunt, tactless speech is often used for comic relief.
