Big 12 admits Notre Dame deserved final play
The Big 12 acknowledged its replay crew erred in ending No. 8 BYU’s 28-24 win over No. 2 Notre Dame: one second remained after the final incomplete pass, and Notre Dame should have had another play from the BYU 8-yard line. The result stands as the conference reviews its end-of-game officiating process; a possible pass-interference penalty also went uncalled.
