Florida Names Aaron Philo Starting QB
Florida has named Aaron Philo, a Georgia Tech transfer, as the starting quarterback for Week 1 against Florida Atlantic, ahead of Tramell Jones Jr.; Philo brings familiarity with offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner's system and will carry the lion's share of snaps. Sumrall's decision followed strong scrimmage performance and Philo's ability to run the offense consistently, signaling a focus on a quick, distributed offense in the SEC.
