Byomkesh Bakshi is a fictional detective created by Bengali author Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. A self-proclaimed "satyanweshi", Bakshi is known for his keen observation, logical thinking and knowledge of forensic science, which he uses to solve complex murder cases, mostly set in Calcutta.
