Cal Quantrill's shutout gem lifts Rangers closer to AL wild card
Cal Quantrill threw seven scoreless innings as the Texas Rangers shut out the Tampa Bay Rays 6-0, with Corey Seager belting a two-run homer and the Rangers narrowing the gap for an AL wild-card spot. The Rays were held to a season-low in hits and extended their struggles at Globe Life Field, while Quantrill continued a strong run with a 1.25 ERA over eight outings and Seager again provided the power.
