About Commander Adama
Commander Adama is a fictional character in the short-lived ABC science fiction drama series Battlestar Galactica created by Glen A. Larson and portrayed by Canadian actor Lorne Greene. Adama is the commander of the titular military vessel, commander of the refugee fleet, and military commander of the evacuees of the Twelve Colonies. He is also the spiritual leader of the surviving colonists, leading the quest for Earth. In the re-imagined series developed by Ronald D. Moore, a similar character, named William Adama and nicknamed "Husker", also commands the Galactica and is portrayed by Edward James Olmos.
