White Sox Promote Smith, McDougal; Sign Wiemer
The White Sox announced promotions of top pitching prospects Tanner McDougal and Hagen Smith from Triple-A Charlotte to boost the bullpen, with Sandlin also called up to provide multi-inning length. The moves come amid injuries and roster shuffles, including Joey Bart's fracture and Chris Murphy's flexor strain, prompting recalls of Edgar Quero and David Sandlin to bolster bullpen depth ahead of the Guardians series.
