About George J. Brooke
George John Brooke is an English academic, author, biblical scholar, and historian who served as Rylands Professor of Biblical Criticism and Exegesis at the University of Manchester from 1997 to 2016. He is also known for writing the books Exegesis at Qumran (1983), The Complete World of the Dead Sea Scrolls (2002), The Dead Sea Scrolls and the New Testament (2005), and Reading the Dead Sea Scrolls: Essays in Method (2013).
