Dolphins Rebuild Brings Quarterback Shift, $99M Dead Cap
Under new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, Miami is rebuilding after Chris Grier’s firing, with the Jaelan Phillips trade bringing a third-round pick used on tight end Will Kacmarek before Phillips landed a $120 million deal elsewhere. The Dolphins have continued reshaping the roster amid substantial cap costs and new additions, while recent improvement could also weaken their chances of securing a top 2027 draft pick.
