Bynum urges ICE pause after Bend school shooting
Rep. Janelle Bynum urged ICE to pause non-emergency enforcement in Bend and Deschutes County after the Silver Rail Elementary shooting, saying reports of agents’ presence are keeping immigrant families from counseling, community support and other recovery services. The shooting killed three children and a teacher and critically injured a student and another teacher.
