About John Wilson Croker
John Wilson Croker was an Anglo-Irish statesman and author. Educated in Dublin, he became a Member of Parliament before being appointed to government posts in Whitehall. He is remembered mostly for his time in office during the late Napoleonic Wars as first secretary to the Admiralty.
