Beatty asks judge to order release of Kennedy Center texts with Trump aide
Rep. Joyce Beatty is asking a federal judge to require the Trump administration to disclose Kennedy Center emails and texts it has withheld under presidential communications privilege, arguing the records could show whether President Donald Trump directed decisions about the center’s management and planned closure. The records include messages between center leadership and Trump’s aide Natalie Harp, as well as roughly 180 texts with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick; the judge has not yet ruled.
