NASA's Roman Space Telescope launches aboard Falcon Heavy
The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope has launched aboard SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy, progressing through key milestones such as stage separation, a second-stage burn, and approaching orbit, while SpaceX’s boosters execute controlled returns as part of the mission’s reusable-launch strategy. The mission aims to answer major questions in cosmology, including dark energy, dark matter, and exoplanets, with science observations expected to begin in the coming years, complemented by market and tech context around SpaceX and the telescope’s $4.3 billion price tag and hardware capabilities.

About Kennedy Space Center
The John F. Kennedy Space Center, located on Merritt Island, Florida, is one of the ten field centers of NASA. Since 1968, KSC has been NASA's primary launch center of American spaceflight, research, and technology. Launch operations for the Apollo, Skylab, Space Shuttle and Artemis programs were carried out from Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39 and managed by KSC. Located on the east coast of Florida, KSC is adjacent to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS). The management of the two entities work very closely together, share resources, and operate facilities on each other's property.
