Uber, WeRide Secure Spain’s First Level 4 Permit
Spain's Directorate General of Traffic granted WeRide, Uber, and AVOMO the country's first national Level 4 autonomous-vehicle permit, authorizing an initial 20-vehicle Madrid fleet for mapping, route validation, and readiness testing ahead of planned commercial operations by end-2026.
