Louis, Hereditary Prince of Mecklenburg-Schwerin was heir to the Dukedom of Mecklenburg-Schwerin from 1756 until his death in 1778. He was also the father of the first Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Frederick Francis I.
