LP idles Jasper, Texas OSB mill, cutting 150 jobs amid oversupply
Louisiana-Pacific (LP Building Solutions) will indefinitely curtail oriented strand board production at its Jasper, Texas, facility starting in October 2026 due to soft demand, with estimated 2026 severance and one-time costs of about $4 to $6 million. The company plans to support affected employees with pay, benefits, severance, and transition assistance and may restart capacity if market conditions improve.
