CBP Officer Convicted of Using Gun and Badge to Assault Four Women

A Customs and Border Protection officer, Luis Uribe, was convicted on 11 counts for raping and robbing four Chinese-descended women who were sex workers in Chicago’s suburbs in 2022, using his badge and a government gun and now faces a mandatory minimum of seven years to life in federal prison. The two-week trial heard prosecutorial emphasis on the victims’ credibility despite defense assertions, with Uribe offering minimized claims in court before the verdict was read.
