About Magnus Minniskiöld
Magnus Minnesköld was a Swedish magnate of the House of Bjälbo. He was the father of Eskil Magnusson, Karl Magnusson and Birger Jarl, through whom he became an ancestor of the later royal line of the House of Bjälbo. His date of death is uncertain; a Magnus recorded as having been killed at the Battle of Lena in 1208 has sometimes been identified with him, but the identification is not conclusive.
