About Maisons d'éducation de la Légion d'honneur
The maisons d'éducation de la Légion d'honneur are French secondary schools established by Napoleon and intended for the education of girls whose father, grandfather, or great-grandfather had been awarded the Legion of Honour. Admission is still granted by hereditary right.
