About María Agoncillo
María Reyes Agoncillo-Aguinaldo was the second wife of Emilio Aguinaldo, the revolutionary leader and first President of the Philippines. A member of the prominent Agoncillo family of Batangas, she married Aguinaldo in 1930 and remained his companion throughout his later years until her death in 1963.
