FA Rejects Arsenal Appeal Over Dowman Red Card

Arsenal are appealing 16-year-old Max Dowman’s red card after the Premier League champions were stunned by League Two Fleetwood Town in a Carabao Cup penalty shootout. Dowman was sent off for kicking out after a challenge; Mikel Arteta said he was disappointed the teenager ignored his warnings, while the dismissal drew criticism from fans and could leave Arsenal short of options for their match against Liverpool.
