Arsenal reportedly plans 60 staff redundancies
Arsenal is considering up to 60 redundancies in off-field roles following a Boston Consulting Group review that began before the club’s recent on-field success; key first-team, academy and community departments are reportedly excluded, and redeployment may reduce the number of job losses. The proposal has drawn criticism, particularly after Mikel Arteta’s lucrative new contract and despite record revenue, while the club points to rising costs and continued losses as context for its review.
