Chinese AI company MiniMax has launched its M3.1 Flash model, touting major gains for coding and agentic tasks, nearly triple the inference speed and 70% lower usage costs. The model has a one-million-token context window, and MiniMax is routing some M2.5 and M2.7 subscription traffic to it as those older models are phased out.
