Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is the second season of the American biographical crime drama anthology television series Monster, created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan for Netflix. The season centers on the 1989 parricides of film executive José Menendez and his wife Kitty by their sons, Lyle and Erik. The Rashomon effect, a narrative technique in which multiple characters recount contradictory versions of the same events, is used to allow viewers to determine which perspective, if any, is accurate.
