Giants trade Furman to Nationals for Neubeck to clear roster space

The San Francisco Giants traded infielder Nate Furman to the Washington Nationals for minor-league left-handed pitcher Tony Neubeck, clearing a spot on their 40-man roster ahead of a deadline. Furman struggled in 22 major-league games but hit well in Triple-A; Washington can develop his versatility while he has three option years remaining.
