Buffalo Schools Revise Proposed Eight-School Closure Plan
Buffalo Public Schools has revised its proposal to close eight schools, including dropping PS 82 from the closure list, proposing to close PS 17 for administrative use, and changing plans for where several programs would be housed. The plan remains under review ahead of a school board vote, with students, families and educators raising concerns about the proposed mergers and calling for more consultation; the district says the restructuring could save $24 million a year.
