About Ralph Bovey
Sir Ralph Bovey, 1st Baronet was an English lawyer, landowner, and sheriff who acquired extensive estates across Warwickshire, Cambridgeshire, and London during the 17th century. He is particularly remembered for his funerary monument at Longstowe, which he commissioned from the sculptor John Bushnell and which represents one of the finest examples of Carolean resurrection monuments in England.
