About Richard Wolfenden
Richard Vance Wolfenden NAS AAA&S was a professor of chemistry, biochemistry and biophysics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was both elected to the National Academy of Sciences and appointed as Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2002. His research involved the kinetics of enzymatic reactions, and his laboratory has made significant contributions to the understanding of catalytic rate enhancements.
