Ex-BofA banker charged in $18.5M insider trading
The Securities and Exchange Commission has charged former Bank of America bankers Jason Satsky and Gavin Wolfe with insider trading tied to South Jersey Industries’ $8.1 billion takeover announced in February 2022, with Wolfe alleged to have earned about $18.5 million from trading about 2.2 million shares. The SDNY case, docket 1:26-cv-07132, details prior communications and social meetings around the deal, lists multiple relief defendants, and notes Satsky’s termination by Bank of America in 2025 as the investigation continues; both defendants deny the allegations.
