About Stephen Bradley
Stephen Carlton Bradley was an Anglican bishop. From 1965 to 1984, he served as presiding bishop of the Church of England in South Africa; despite its name, this denomination was not in communion with the Church of England. He had served as a military chaplain during the Second World War, then in parish ministry before being consecrated as an assistant bishop in 1958. He was a supporter of apartheid and against ecumenicism.
