About Symboli Rudolf
Symboli Rudolf was a champion Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In 1984, he became the fourth colt to win the Japanese Triple Crown, and was inducted into the Japan Racing Association Hall of Fame in 1987. He would go on to win a total of seven Grade 1 races throughout his career, including the 1984 Arima Kinen, as well as the Japan Cup, Tennō Shō (Spring), and another win in the Arima Kinen in the following year. He was sired by Partholon, a son of Milesian, and out of Sweet Luna, a daughter of Speed Symboli. Due to his racing career and his namesake, Rudolf I of Germany, the horse was dubbed "Kōtei (皇帝)", or emperor.
