Duke Endowment gives $100 million for children's hospital
The Duke Endowment is giving North Carolina Children’s $100 million toward a planned Apex campus, the largest philanthropic gift to the project so far. Backed by state funding and a partnership between Duke Health and UNC Health, the campus is expected to include children’s acute and behavioral health hospitals and research facilities, bringing specialized pediatric care closer to families; it is slated to open in the early 2030s.
