No. 9 Virginia opens season against Drexel as heavy favorites
No. 9 Virginia opens its season against Drexel with much of its 30-6 core returning, led by ACC preseason player of the year Thijs De Ridder and shot-blocker Johann Grunloh. Previews expect Virginia to have a major edge, while noting Drexel’s defense and slow pace could make for a low-scoring game.
