About Thompson Rivers University
Thompson Rivers University is a public research university in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. The university's name comes from the two rivers that converge in Kamloops, the North Thompson and South Thompson. TRU is one of six research universities in B.C. It is the province's only dual-sector research university—meaning it offers both academic and applied education—and offers a dual-sector education. It is British Columbia's fourth-largest university.
