EU Accuses KKR of Possible Misleading Data in €22B Telecom Italia Deal
The European Commission issued KKR a formal statement of objections, saying it may have provided incorrect or misleading information about long-term wholesale-access agreements when Brussels approved its 2024 purchase of Telecom Italia’s fixed-line network. The probe followed rival operators’ complaints that access prices rose after the deal; KKR can respond before the EU decides whether to impose a penalty.
