In brief
Houthis said a Saudi airstrike on Oct. 16, 2026, killed three children ages 8 and 10 in Yemen's Dhamar governorate and wounded more than a dozen; Saudi Arabia had not immediately commented.
Saudi Arabia’s coalition said it intercepted a cruise missile over the Madinah region, while the Houthis denied carrying out an attack there. In a separate escalation, the coalition struck a fuel depot near Sanaa, after which it reported intercepting missiles and drones targeting Saudi cities as the Houthis threatened further attacks.
Houthi missiles hit Aden's Al-Maashiq palace on Oct. 15; Yemen's government reported two security personnel killed, while AFP sources cited four dead and 10 wounded.
