Clal Insurance Shrinks KBWB Stake, Expands ETF Bets
Clal Insurance Enterprises Holdings Ltd used the first quarter to adjust a broad cross-section of ETFs, reducing its stake in Invesco KBW Bank ETF by 37.2% to 1,421,000 shares valued around $112.43 million. It also opened a new position in iShares MSCI South Korea ETF with 10,000 shares worth about $1.23 million. In SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF, Clal acquired 1,280,000 shares valued at roughly $83.39 million. The insurer increased its holding in Vanguard S&P 500 ETF by 2.0%, totaling 3,687,384 shares worth about $2.20 billion, making it the firm’s largest position. Additionally, Clal entered a new position in Invesco Solar ETF with 1,780,400 shares worth about $99.19 million. Taken together, the filings illustrate Clal’s diversified ETF exposure across banking, regional, international, large-cap U.S. equity, and solar sectors, alongside ongoing activity from other major investors.
