Missing luggage reported as Indian boxers scramble Glasgow
India's 22-member boxing team arrived in Glasgow from Belfast for the Commonwealth Games 2026, but nearly half of the luggage did not reach with them. The bags of boxers Sakshi Chaudhary, Jaismine Lamboria, Parveen Hooda, Jadumani Singh, Kapil Pokhariya and the men's head coach C. Kuttappa, among others, were left behind due to a reportedly small Belfast-Glasgow aircraft. The missing luggage contains training gear and ceremonial outfits for the opening ceremony, with a similar baggage delay having occurred on the Doha-to-Belfast leg earlier this month. The team hopes the baggage arrives in time as the boxing competition begins on Friday and final preparations continue. Separately, the women's boxing coach has not been accommodated in the same hotel as the boxers. India enters Glasgow with high expectations despite these logistical hiccups.
