Fayose, 25 others named to 10 federal agencies
President Tinubu announced 26 new appointments across 10 federal agencies and commissions, effective immediately, including former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose as Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency. Fayose will head the REA board with Ahmadu Abubakar and Ilyasu Makinta as members and non-executive directors, alongside the agency’s incumbent director-general Abba Abubakar Aliyu and three executive directors. Major General Junaid Bindawa was named Chairman of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, with Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas as Secretary and several commissioners named to represent various states. Additional appointments included Abuh Mohammed as Director-General of the National Population Commission, Akinola Odeyemi as Managing Director of NBET, and Anthony Inalegwu Godwin as chairman and CEO of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission, among others. Engineer Julius Oloro was appointed CEO of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation, and Tosin Johnson Adeyanju was redeployed to serve as Secretary of the RMF Commission. The announcements reflect a broad reshuffle of leadership across key federal agencies and commissions.
